A. Rigid Shaft Support Traditionally, plastic chemical pumps both have a single sided shaft assist or solely use plastic for a double-ended shaft assist. The downside with this is that under high temperature or pressure, the shaft help weakens resulting in shaft deflection and therefore vibrations leading increased wear and lowered service life. The AME range contains a patented integral V shape front help that is a part of the metal casing armour after which PFA lined. The rear of the shaft is supported within the PFA lined containment shell and reinforced by a steel assist ring and high-strength carbon fibre composite cover. This superior design means an extended design life resulting in far less downtime and increased productivity.
B. Vacuum Resistant Lining The PFA lining is fashioned immediately onto the steel armour and designed to ensure the PFA materials remains adhered to the armour even beneath low absolute strain.
C. Load Balanced Volute The casing volute is designed to have an evenly distributed hydraulic pressure, offering a balanced radial loading on the impeller.
D/E. One piece, metal embedded impeller Traditionally, an ETFE or PFA magazine drive pump will be fitted with a separate impeller and internal magnet. In functions of excessive pressure or temperature, the impeller can deform leading to damages and reduced efficiency. The AME pump range is built whereby the impeller and magnet capsule are formed as one piece which eliminates the potential of the impeller loosening. For further operational stability and rigidity, a metallic construction is embedded from the magnet capsule to the impeller blade further increasing the pump’s operational life.
F. Simple Construction The stationary shaft design allows for a quite simple development which makes maintenance and repairs very simple.
G. Reinforced Containment Shell The plastic containment shell is reinforced with a carbon fibre composite cowl. There is not any eddy present loss, so no further heating of the pumped chemical.
H. High Strength Magnetic Coupling Inner magnets are constructed from Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) to find a way to face up to high operating temperatures without experiencing demagnetization. High power neodymium (NdFeB) is then used for the drive magnet to offer high torque transmission.
