Atlas Copco has agreed to amass the German industrial pump manufacturer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from private fairness firm Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen within the Allgäu region of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used primarily in the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for meals and beverage and cosmetics applications.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing services in Germany, a US subsidiary and a worldwide gross sales and service footprint. The firm employs 265 individuals and had 2020 revenues of roughly €46.4 million.
“Industrial pumps is a phase that we now have recognized as a strategic fit for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has leading differentiated technology with a powerful aftermarket business,” said Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique enterprise space. “Wangen Pumpen is a powerful model and is thought for high quality in demanding industrial purposes. This acquisition will create a stable foundation for additional growth in new industrial pump segments.”

The acquired enterprise will turn out to be a part of the Power and Flow division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
The deal is predicted to be accomplished during the second quarter of 2022 and is subject to regulatory approvals.
